Teachers shared their knowledge within FPD events
Friday 2 December 2022
We carried out several events for more than 350 teachers and school principals to share their experiences and strategies carried out within their classrooms.
All the events were carried out in Riohacha, Barranquilla, Cartagena, and Tibú, within the framework of the Transitando la Escuela and Creando Juntos projects. Then, teachers shared their knowledge within FPD events and presented to colleagues from other public schools the activities, projects, and experiences they developed to innovate in the classroom.
Teachers from Transitando la Escuela project showed their experiences from different components of the project such as shared vision, environments, family involvement, graphomotor skills, and reading and writing.
On the other side, Creando Juntos’ teachers showed the projects developed alongside their students, based on the Project Based Learning -ABP methodology for students to have a better understanding.
Cultural traditions were also present in FPD events
Moreover, events also included cultural activities to entertain. Dance, music, and storytelling reinforced both the quality of local talent and the importance of maintaining cultural tradition.
In Riohacha and Tibú we had special performances such as the children’s philharmonic of Riohacha, from the Fundartes project, and storytellers like Ella Celedón and José Miguel Rodríguez.
Likewise, aiming to reinforce cultural richness and traditions, we carried out two additional activities for teachers to write what they learned over the past year within each project.
All events were a rewarding experience for both teachers who received their certification and the Pies Descalzos team who worked hand in hand with the teachers during 2022.
Definitely, It was an unforgettable month 💛💛 in which teachers shared their knowledge within FPD events, demonstrating their talent and creativity when innovating in the classroom.
Thank you for this 2022 events! 📚🎒
