Educational infrastructure in Barranquilla

Since the beginning of the Foundation, we have worked in the city. In 2008 we built the first Pies Descalzos public school as part of the educational infrastructure projects in Barranquilla.

That is to say, it is a 14,490 m2 building with a capacity for more than 1,700 students, with 39 classrooms, a library, a dining room and kitchen, a theater, an auditorium, a synthetic soccer field, and a Child Development Center.

In addition, we are implementing 6 educational projects to strengthen the teaching-learning processes of the students.

On the other hand, we are developing the following educational infrastructure projects in Barranquilla:

Nuevo Bosque

The Pies Descalzos Nuevo Bosque public school, located in the El Bosque neighborhood, is an educational infrastructure project for 960 students, built on a 6,073 m2 to promote quality and innovative educational actions and projects, based on values and personal skills.

Moreover, the project has an entrance that reduces vertical displacements. On the other hand, the spatial organization will allow the integration of outdoor spaces as an extension of the classrooms, forming a multidirectional space.

In addition, the preschool classrooms are integrated through a common extension space, forming a single learning environment.

In this way, the collective space allows different rooms for play, meetings, and spontaneous gatherings. One example is the patios, which are conceived as spaces that offer pedagogical opportunities by taking classroom activities outdoors.

Every space is used for learning. Within the circulations, stations for thinking and working are arranged and vertical surfaces are included as canvases for ideas.

Villas de San Pablo

The project will be ready by 2024 and will have a capacity of 960 students.

Finally, Villas de San Pablo is built on a lot of almost 12,000 m2 and will have a resource center, integrated laboratory, technology, innovation, multimedia classrooms, art workshops, and multipurpose and sports classrooms, in addition to preschool, elementary, and middle school classrooms.
