First Graduate Meeting

One of our main objectives in the communities where we are present is working towards the integral formation of children and adolescents. With this goal in mind, we propose the “My Life Project” aimed at teaching our current students life skills. This will allow them to make conscious decisions that guide the self-construction of their future and their role in different environments.

Within the “My Life” project and our intervention axis “Tools for Life”, students are also supported after graduating from the Institution. This includes advising them on ways to access higher education and constantly motivating them to continue their studies so that they can overcome the conditions of poverty.

How was the activity?

The first meeting of graduates of the Pies Descalzos Cartagena Foundation Educational Institution was attended by 50 former students from two of our graduated classes. At the meeting, we discussed the state of the students’ links to higher education. It filled us with great emotion to learn that around 80% of them have continued their education in a variety of areas including technical, technological and university.

It fills us with pride and motivation to know that we have left a mark on the lives of these young people who are now enthusiastic about improving their living conditions through quality education.
