What’s the Environment?
Let’s recall that Chocó is one of the most affected regions by the war in Colombia. With a high percentage of the population displaced, vulnerable and unemployed, this region calls out to all of us to build a different future for its inhabitants.
Now, the Sports Schools for Peace Program – ESDEPAZ, is a scenario of encounter, participation and training for the social inclusion of children, where the competence development and life skills through sports are promoted. Also, in Pies Descalzos we believe in a quality public education, that is why within our educational model art, sports and cultural spaces, plays a major role, being present in our axis “Tools for Life”.
We have jointly developed with ESDEPAZ educational activities in reading, writing, mathematics, ICTs (Information and Communication Technologies), futsal, competition and recreational races. Children from Quibdó – Chocó, have been able to enjoy all this moments and lessons mentioned above.
These spaces wouldn’t be possible without the volunteers and tutors help, who join together to build a Quality Education, a better society and a different future. Let’s continue working as a team so all the children have access to safe, learning and growth spaces.
