Throughout our history, Quibdó continues to be one of the Pies Descalzo’s target territories, where we contribute to improving quality education through our portfolio of educational projects, and develop educational infrastructure projects in Quibdó.

Firstly, in 2005 we opened the María Bershmans school, part of the Antonio Ricaurte public school-INTAR, for elementary school children. Since then, thousands of students have been beneficiaries of the Pies Descalzos Foundation.

Nowadays, we are building a new headquarters for the INTAR public school, which will host its entire student population. It will be a school built on a lot of 12,758,000 m2, with a built area of 6,000 m2 and a capacity for 960 students.

The educational infrastructure projects in Quibdó are in the architectural studies phase and we expect to open the school by the end of 2023 to start the school year in 2024.
